We are preparing to realease a demo... but what should we include?

This week, in "Kurofune: Descobrimos Portugueses", what can you expect from us on our demo.

Hello everyone, we are back! Welcome to another article from 3PAStudios. In the last week, we talked about the changes that occur while we were away and what we are working on.
One of the big changes is the scope we are working on. Since we are planning on releasing a demo at the beginning of the next year, we are reducing the scope of the game, to make a small section of the game as perfect as we can.
As always, follow us on our socials, website, discord, twitter and instagram, drop by, chat a bit and share your thoughts, share your thoughts and give us feedback!

Our Scope

Well, essentially the entire Atlantic Ocean.

The main objective of the game is to reach Brazil. We thought of this objective since it is both an historical event for the Portuguese culture and for the exploration between Europa and the Americas, known previously as the New Land, opening the option for both sides to explore the rest of the world.

We initially were thinking of having only the South America in the game instead of both, but we quickly came to the conclusion that due to the geography of the world, the path to Brazil would be very linear, not giving many chances to the player to have freedom of choice, which would be the exact opposite of what we want.

What can you do?

Well, everything you could before, trade, explore, hire new crew members, upgrade your ship and fight with other ships. So what changed? Surprisingly a lot...
We have been saying for a long time that the original scope of this game was massive for the amount of time and the people working on the project, so we decided that instead of adding more mechanics and different variables, we would add more flavor and cultural points to the game, events specific for each place, myths and legends of that era.

In terms of complexity for the game, it doesn't change much, but it adds such a big layer of diversity and cultural/historical weight to the game, making the whole project that much richer.

Well, for now that's it, this is just a small sample of what we have been doing and there is more to show so be sure to follow us and stay up to date on our development.

As always, don't forget to wishlist our game on Steam:
