As we are reaching the end of the development for this demo, we are finishing the polish and getting ready for the end goal!

This week, in "Kurofune: Descobrimos Portugueses", we are starting this year with the final touches to our game and getting ready for the release.

Hello everyone, we are back! Welcome to another article from 3PAStudios. This post will be the first of the year, starting with polishing the game.
I hope you had a good time during the holidays. From our part, we took the time to replenish our batteries and evaluate what we needed to do before realizing our demo.
As we promised in our last post, we are back, stronger than ever, finishing this project and getting ready for future ones, so don't miss out.
As always, follow us on our socials, website, discord, twitter and instagram. Drop by, chat a bit, share your thoughts, and give us feedback!

What's the hurry to release the demo?

Well, for starters, we need to know how much attention the game is going to get. Being brutally honest, if the game isn't getting much attention, it means that either our approach was wrong, and if that's the case, it's better to know it as soon as possible. Another possible reason is that there is no market for a project like ours or for our theme, and if that's the case, it doesn't matter how much we improve the game; it will never take off.

We already have some analytics from our social media; the game gets really good traction, and we had some fans reaching out for more news about the game, giving feedback, and supporting us. The only problem is that our fans are mostly Portuguese, so we don't know how well the game will do in the international market.

Realeasing the demo as soon as possible solves that problem. Not only do we get the answers to these questions, but we also get testers to play the game and help us improve the game.

So what do we need to realease the demo?

For starters, the core idea of the game needs to be there; the main mechanics, art style, overhaul game design, and at least a small section of the game need to be polished without major bugs.

In the past week, we cracked down on the key aspects of the game that still needed to be put in and what still needed some polish to feel satisfying. We are getting closer than we expected!

What can you expect in our demo?

Our demo will have these core aspects:

  • A small portion of the game map;
  • 16+ Cities;
  • 50+ events where the player has total freedom of choice;
  • Various opportunities for the player to trade;
  • There are multiple classes of crewmates to travel the seas with;
  • Various battles with other ships and cities;

And much more (we don't want to spoil all the fun)...

As always, don't forget to wishlist our game on Steam as is almost getting realeased:
