This week, in "Kurofune: Descobrimos Portugueses", we are doing something different, explaning our marketing plan and how it has worked out for us.

Hello everyone, we are back! Welcome to another article from 3PAStudios. In the last posts, we talked about our decisions and what we have done in terms of getting our game ready for a release, but a big part of that preparation has been our marketing.
More important than ever, follow us on our socials, website, discord, X and instagram, that way you can see our progress in this area first hand and please comment that you came from IndieDB, we would also like to see how many people can we retain across multiple social media platforms!

Our plan

Well, a quick TL;DR, just try to get out there as much as possible.

Best Days Times to Post on each

This is just one of many studies we follow about of schedule of posts, aside Facebook and Pinterest, we are planning or already posting content. Of course, we also need to have attention about what to publish in each space, the quality and the quantity of said content.

B2B Content

As most of you probably know, B2B stands for business to business, it requires a different speech and a different way to conduct yourself.

First and foremost, always have a professional speech, in most spaces don't refer to your game as a "game", refer to it as a "project", that way it reaches a lot more people, especially those outside of the gaming sphere, and that is good because although the gaming industry is one of the biggest in terms of revenue, most of the funding and money circulating is from outside sources.
All pitches made in this format should have a business plan or model that should be followed, and a brief explanation on why other businesses should invest in your idea and spend their money.

Such platforms are for example LinkedIn and IndieDB, these are mostly frequented by professionals that are searching for multiple people, projects in our industries. In these platforms it's important to always be direct in what you are offering / searching, and detail what you have that is different from all others, your USP (Unique Selling Points).

B2C Content

As you could probably guess, B2C is business to consumer, it's the main platforms and speech an industry or any service provider should have when talking to potential costumers.

This is your main platforms for advertising your games and this is where you do your advertising, filling all your content and commentaries with buzz words and USPs. Also, a great place to publish all your trailers, advertising and any other content of your game.

Twitch, Reddit and YouTube are all such places, easy for the audience to consume your content and places where you could release all sort of content that advertise your game.

C2C Content

I think there is no need to explain but just for the sake of it, C2C stands for consumer to consumer. In such platforms your speech should be informal, being as casual as possible, and you could pose as a consumer.

Although in these platforms you should present yourself as an individual if possible, if you still want to talk about your game, you should do so as casual and organic as possible. Recently, this as proven to be one of the best marketing strategies since the explosion of such social networks as TikTok.

As already said, TikTok, X and Instagram are all such platforms, in these places we try extra hard to do as many posts as possible, since we don't have funds for marketing, organic traffic is our best choices, and in the 2 weeks that has passed doing this format, this as only proved to be more effective.
