Kieru's Quest is an immersive stealth game set in the 17th Century during a crucial period when Portugal was expelled from Japan. Players step into the shoes of a skilled ninja, tasked with unraveling the mysteries surrounding the Portuguese influence on Japan.
In the year 1638, as night falls over the isolated island of Dejima in Nagasaki, Japan, tensions between Portugal and Japan reach their peak. As a ninja deeply rooted in the shadows, you have been assigned a critical mission by the Tokugawa Iemitsu. That Daymio was the strongest of them at that time and was afraid that Portugal strengthens his rival of him Toyotomi Hideyori. Your objective investigate the impact of Portuguese people and their goods on Japanese society.
As you embark on this perilous journey, you find yourself entangled in a web of secrecy, cultural exchange. The once-thriving trade between the two nations has now become a subject of suspicion and concern. Your skills as a stealthy operative will be tested as you navigate Dejima, a place where hidden alliances and dangerous secrets lurk.
Your mission is multifaceted. Infiltrate the clandestine Portuguese quarters, gather intelligence on their activities, and discover the true nature of their presence in Japan.
As you progress, you uncover a vast conspiracy that reaches beyond the surface. The Portuguese influence extends beyond mere trade, with whispers of forbidden knowledge, contraband artifacts, and dangerous liaisons. Unraveling the truth becomes paramount, not only for your mission's success but also to protect the fragile balance of power in Japan.
