Hi Gamers!
As Blackburne Games Team we were working on Ex Natura: Nature Corrupted for more than 2 years. Project officially started at October 2020. Since then our team gave efforts to create this universe and gameplay. Because this is our first game we also tried a lot of things and made some mistakes at the development. We will be describing these mistakes for other studios at the end of this article. However we would like to continue with how Ex Natura's journey started.
Ex Natura was an idea came from a black metal album named Primogenitus Ex Natura recorded at 2016 by project's creator. The album was describing a corrupted nature with metal and ambient sounds.
At 2016 I was recording a black metal album called Primogenitus Ex Natura(Firstborn of Nature). The album's main theme was a corrupted nature. This universe that I created gave me some ideas about a game(I was developing games at the time) and then Ex Natura: Nature Corrupted game idea came out.

The team was initially 3 people at the start of the project, October 2023. We started with pre-production and wrote the story, connected characters and environment, designed main gameplay and created some music. We decided to add magic missles, telekinesis, dash and wall jump. We inspired from Prince of Persia 2008 and Dark Souls while developing the game.
We started with designing main character Elrih, the God of Air

Then we grow our team up to 6 people, created our art team with 3D artists and started with production.
