I have been watching many tutorials to help me implement the next mechanics. The main mechanics are easy to achieve: Run and Jump. But I seem to be having issues when it comes to implementing the climbing, sliding and wall jumping mechanics. I am sure they are very easy to implement, but for a complete beginner programmer like me, everything is quite complicated! Thankfully I do understand more or less the logic of the language so I know what to look for.
I have recently come across a programming course that I am positive will help me solve this problem rapidly. This same course has some more detailed things that I suspect might be important, and it is surely the most organized I have found so far. And they even explain how to implement the animations right away! I will be trying to implement the knowledge of this course into my game, to see how it will go. Hopefully it will work!
In the meantime, I have started to work hard on the animations as well. As you can see in the image below, I have finished some of the animations required for the player: Running, Jumping, Idle, Wall Idle/Grab, Wall Sliding. I am yet to finish the Wall Climbing and want to add a Ledge Climbing animation as well, so I guess I will have to work on it later. But for the meantime, this is all I have for today!
I have recently had a tiny change in my schedule, so that I can focus my energy on other projects that are being worked on simultaneously with this one, so I will only be working on Lost & Tiny 3 days a week, so the updates might become shorter. But I promise I will do my absolute best to bring you guys as much content and updates as possible! In the meantime, I hope you guys are doing well and taking care of yourselves!
