We've been working on our next commercial game and wanted to put out a little announcement going into detail about the game.
KILLMAGE is an arena shooter taking place in a small open area with the hordes of the infamous Immortal being thrown at you. Fight them off and attempt to reach the highest time possible, eventually facing off against the Immortal themself.
Featuring tight gameplay with simple controls, move with WASD, jump with spacebar, left click to shoot, and right click to fire a blast of shots. Move around the arena of the Vault with ease and use advanced movement by boosting around with the blast shot.
KILLMAGE features unique visuals with at any point on the screen only containing two color values, no transparencies or in-game anti-aliasing featured. This was something brought over from the origins of the game as a release on Itch.IO for a game jam, and we've expanded upon since with optimization and alternate color modes in the options.
Last but not least we've made the Compendium, a separate area to track high scores and unlocks while fighting in the Vault. Here you can enable unlocked extra game modes, read up on bits of lore for each item, and track overall progress.
We hope our latest game intrigues some of you and looks interesting, its been a while since our last post but we've been busy working on a couple of projects now. KILLMAGE comes out on April 5, 2024 on Steam and Itch.IO. In any case though, everyone have a good day and take care!
