Here is a first official mini-video of the gameplay from Stackout. The scores are not yet implemented (as well as the transition between the levels), but for the rest, almost everything is there. Good thing on New Year's Eve Daniele's supercoolcomicladywife was in another country so to not fall into depression he took advantage and programmed drunkey drunkey style :D
Luigi has created the music for the first scenario (green pastures) and almost all of the sound effects, having had almost extraspecialcreative freedom on all of these tunes - and they turned out all very beautiful - some rather "different" from what you would expect, which gives more originality to the whole thing and helps to approach the game in a more strategic arcade, since it's calming. The addition of sound effects especially the sound of the ball bouncing helps to give a consistency that had eluded us until now. Great job Luigi !
Fabian, for his part, has completed almost all of the graphics and created the bricks and decorations throughout the first four scenarios, green pastures, city, desert, and of course circus, managing to keep these colors extremely vivid, but with a overall pastel tone.
Happy new year :)
Hey looks great!
Fantastic Job :)
woohoo, that's flattering. Our smiley faces have just been extended :D
Wow that looks very fun, especially for a game that just said goodbye to prototypes!
I really digg those graphics
Awesome game
Nice. xD
Daniele, Luigi and myself say thank you. Means a lot to get such nice and warm feedback after a month of hard work, that has been put into the game for the contest :)
We're gonna be taking a tiny break after deadline at midnight (today !!!) and then decide when and how to publish the game online for you all :)
whagggaaawesome :D
I really like the art style, audio and visual feedback looks good aswell, just the wrong perspective is hard for me to catch on, but its a gameplay thing i guess. Also watch out for your color palette, its a little inconsistent still.
Examples: The magenta in your Logo is biting with the rest , The fonts in the credits have awkward colours and you partially use more light, not full saturated ones, and partially you do (interface bars, menus), also the background does not fit so well with the assets
