Fixed. Nice to see you're still watching CMDKeen.
Take the issue to our reddit page and see if our programmers can help.
Do you receive any error messages when trying to download it? Does it actually terminate the download, or just get stuck at a certain point?
That hexagon is your mitochondria: its shade depends on how far it is in processing glucose.
Your enthusiasm is great support for us.
We plan on releasing for Mac, PC and Linux.
What you're referring to is endosymbiont theory, which will be an important part of Thrive's gameplay. You won't just mutate to get mitochondria- you have to engulf the right prey and get lucky.
Thanks for bringing that up. We'll check with our programmer to fix the issue.
With summer, activity has quieted down, but right now we are currently not working on any prototypes. Instead we are at work on finalizing the concepts of the Microbe Stage into one game design document to have to use to make the game.
It was discussed on the forum and the conclusion was the closest thing possible would damage the organism itself more than the target. If you have any ideas we hadn't mentioned you should drop in to contribute.
Those all sound like good suggestions. We'll give them to our programmer to help improve it. However, remember that these are only meant to test gameplay mechanics, and the real polishing up is for the main game.
Breathing fire is not possible, but stats can be altered by mutations and editing in the Organism Editor.
We plan on having a rudimentary cell stage out by 2014. It depends on how much our programmers can do- they can always use a hand, and they've a lot on the plate.
Any specific suggestions to bring that about?
The screen contains cells like yours- you control the green one, and the bacteria in the ecosystem around it. Some bacteria have a chance of being engulfed by your cell and becoming mitochondria (endocytosis), others can be engulfed and become flagella, which allows your cell to move around.
Check the last two weeks' updates. We've been updating every week for three weeks now, and plan to keep it going for another 1-2 weeks.
We didn't have alphas out 3 years ago. We had a simple prototype. We have alphas out now, as well as prototypes that surpass that old one.
Like it says on our profile details, the release date is still to be determined, since its such a large project.
Make sure you have java installed on your computer. You can get it here: Oracle.com
Thank you for the kind words and support. If you ever free up some time, We'd love to have a little help on the forums.
xGUNISHMENTx, I keep having problems with the D-Day map. I extracted it into the folder you said, but there was nothing past "maps". I had no "Single" file. I even made them myself to look like the directions you gave, but when I tried to load it in the Editor it wouldn't work. I keep getting an error where it says it cannot find the file. I just can't find where any of the single or multiplayer maps are kept in my directory. I only have a single, empty folder in the "Maps" folder, called "multi".
Could you please help me? I really look forward to playing your map.
We've taken a few pages out of the opossum's book at times.
The love is reciprocated! Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm and support.
We agree. Porky's mother Claus is a constant source of inspiration for the team.
Look at the list of skills we are looking for above. Then, join us on the forums, also found in a link above.
That would be nice, wouldn't it?
