Who said it's otherwise?
Donkey Kong 64 and Star Fox are still my favorites. Of course I'll never forget the Goldeneye 64 and Perfect Dark all-nighters with my buddies, complete with copious amounts of Mountain Dew and Doritos. Then there's the first FPS I ever played: Rainbow 6 Rogue Spear. (Yeah, I was hardcore when I was a kid :P )
Models and textures are looking good, guys. Great improvement from the Bigfoot Mafia ;) If you guys want I can throw together a little demonstration map for you so people stop whining about the screenshots. I haven't mapped in a while (don't look at the screenshots on my profile, those were just an experiment) but I could make one or two if you need it.
Good work guys! I'm looking forward to having some epic diner shootouts. :)
Sounds good, Mild. :)
Good luck on the project!
There's a snake in my boot!
I don't know, that's what I immediately thought when I saw this.
Good work though! A bit blocky around the edges but still looks nice.
I would use a black and white picture (or video for extra points) of the 50's era. If it's a picture maybe just put your small logo inconspicuously but still noticeable in the corner. If it's a video maybe toward the end of the clip have it fade out and have "The 50's" fade in in a stylish font. Just throwing out the idea. :)
A) First (experiment) mod. While this isn't a good excuse for poor workmanship, you have to give him a bit of slack. Personally I think it could use work but at least he's creating new, unique models and trying to make them look good.

Just saying...
Keep up the good work guys!
I thought you couldn't post mods without having screenshots or video or at least more than a paragraph...
Great engine! Seams almost too good to be true, but the proof is there. I can't wait to see some of the amazing games made with this!
Maybe you can get a demo video of each weapon made so far and their shoot/reload anims?
I had high hopes for this mod, but unfortunately I am disappointed. First of all, why do I have 52 arcade cabinets of "camper-strike" and "Hawx 2 8-bit" among other games that I have never heard of, much less own? And pictures of Darth Vader litter the arcade, which I don't understand.
The idea of launching programs from ingame is neat for a while, but just becomes tedious very quickly. Trying to find the cabinet you want to play is a hassle. Especially when there's a whole row of arcade cabinets that link to one file on my desktop. None of my personal photos show up ingame, just Darth Vader and a pumpkin one.
Also I have encountered an odd glitch; when I transition from one area to another, all of the cabinets and signs become incredibly pixellated. Every transition lowers the resolution of the textures by about 128x128 to the point of the sign having a resolution of about 8x8.
I admit that I did not spend much time customizing or truly exploring the mod, but my first impression of the mod left me utterly disappointed.
I realize this is only a beta and will probably be much better in the future, but until then I think I'll stick to good old Windows XP to launch my programs.
Good luck in development. :)
Looks nice; can't wait to use it ingame. :)
By the way, the pic isn't for showing off the map guys, it's for showing off the gun.
Finally. Not enough mods/games use these, and I love them. Can't wait to use it in game. :)
You're reasoning? Don't comment unless you can give useful advice...
Try setsmooth. It works wonders with smoothing. Also the grip would be uncomfortable. Try looking at some pics of real guns or better yet, actually look at some real guns.
As a matter of fact I have, and I realize how incredibly difficult it is, but I still think it's ridiculous taking content from other mods (permission or not). In my opinion it just makes the modder look lazy because he can't come up with his own content.
I don't see why you couldn't just make your own in the first place. I mean, no offense, but what kind of modder just takes content from other mods for his own mod?
Textures are a bit stretched, are too bright and "clean", and that is frankly one weird looking bunker.
Wow this is really some of the worst content I've seen posted lately. Corey365, you are really quite ignorant. Not only of HL canon but of common spelling conventions. I would suggest erasing this or SHW is going to get a bad reputation.
I think he means they used it in that fashion first.
Anyway, nice wallpaper!
Interesting, never seen a clay modeler working on a mod. Good idea though!
Gah! My PC took an FPS spike just when I opened the mod page!
Seriously though, keep up the good work, it looks nice. :)
