I'm currently brushing up on my Unity skills. A friend of mine showed me Digital-Tutors, which is a large database of digital software related tutorials. A lot of the tutors that teach are professionals from related industries, which helps provide great insight on how they approach certain things.
I've only seen a few of the tutorials related to Unity, but thus far it seems to be very beneficial; especially for first time users.
Now, by no means do I think that this is the only way to learn. I mean there's the internet! But I do find it nice to have a readily set of videos already organized and easy to follow.
