Both sick! Love it! I feel like I'm overusing them exclamation points!
I have to agree with Lurkers here :D It gave me some great ideas for my game too. I've been thinking of various ways to tackle this problem but yours is one of the best ways I've seen to date. Thanks a lot for sharing m8.
Hey,
This looks like a fun game. Looking forward to seeing more.
Tracking :D

Indeed :)
To be honest these ideas just come to you at one point or another. Eventually you give them a go and voila the end result doesn't totally suck. Doesn't happen often but it feels great when others like the final product.
There is still a lot of work to be done in the polishing department. But overall it looks like this system could really work for DB.
Thanks for the support man. Much appreciated!
I want this. Come on guys hurry hurry hurry :D
Yes please!
NOT SOON ENOUGH!!!!
OMFG its the caterpillar of DEATH!
Crazy sh*t guys. Loving it all!
Wow! You guys really did your research then :D
That's pretty cool. So that would limit our ability to explore nebulas and stuff i suppose. Are there any emergency fuel sources other than solar power?
YEAAAAH! MONSTAH DUNE BUG!!!!!!
Great stuff guys!
That's so sick. Thinking outside the box :D
Lovely!
Now to toss my two cents into the pile.
Gravity Displacement Grenade. It has a timer so can be bounced around the level a bit. Perhaps the longer you hold the fire button the longer the time out is going to be. Once it goes BOOMALA! a small wormhole appears and starts sucking everything in for a short period of time. As a balancing feature it could suck collectibles in too. Making it a last resort kind of thing I suppose.
Can't wait to see more of your stuff guys.
YES! YES! MOAR MAGIX PLEASE!
The art style in this game is just so so awesome.
PS: Dat fire place :D
Seconded, thirded and forthed! Totally awesome stuff.
Looks awesome! Please take my money!!!
Hey Slice,
Music was written by Jonathan and is as original as it gets. A friend of mine said it reminded him of 80's pron :D
How cool is that?
Can't wait!
Nice!
This is awesome news man! Congrats for making it onto Steam. The best of luck to you.
Exciting times ahead ;)
Great stuff guys. One bit of criticism that I have is that it's hard to see where my weapons will hit or at least what parts of the enemy ship they are targeting. I would be cool to see markers of where torpedoes or lasers are about to hit. I suppose on the ship overview map you could have hotspots to reflect the same.
I imagine that most of the battles will be viewed at minimum zoom to help with macro-management of weapon systems and ship direction. So having a clear view of what is about to go up in smoke is pretty important :D
As always very exciting to see this game take shape.

Sounds great. One more thing though.
How will the ship travel over long distances? Some sort of warp jumps or will it be more Alien like, hibernation of the crew and hauling *** through space at a snails pace?
Basically I was wandering if I would be able to ambush ships in hyper space or catch one with most of it's crew on ice so to speak.
Alex this is looking pretty sweet man. It would be great to hear how the game will progress though, perhaps in the next article ;)
Basically I was wandering what would be the constraints to my ship building shenanigans and how I would eventually overcome them. Would there be some sort of 'leveling' mechanic?
Given that this is a rogue-like the distribution of enemies would be random to a certain degree I suppose. What are your plans in that department?
Will you make it completely random making players run into a bloody Death Star as soon as they start or will it be more or less reasonable? Based on sectors or zones or something along those lines.
