This episode is pretty game design heavy, and here is the ToDo list i am going over in this episode:
Alpha V2 ToDo
- Add 3 Player Avatars to have a way for different difficulties
- Give people the opportunity to change color of an avatar
- Add a way to change the avatars
- Add a narrator to guide people through the experience
- Go deeper then the beginning with the narrator, Do that funny?
- Add stops at the beginning of levels with a lot of explanation
- Add stop after a player died without user input
- Add new levels and restructure existing ones (change them if needed), goal is to have the player feel some sort of mastery before learning something new [current thinking is, to let player learn how to play in a certain way and afterwards let them experience their freshly learned mastery, afterwards add a new mechanic]
- Reward should be new avatars (probably needed for alpha)
- Just for alpha v2 add really hard levels at the end to give good people something to do
- Add pause in the game
- Refactor UI (currently performance problem)
Optional stuff
- Add /change music
- Add High score for Youtubers
