Nice use of smoke. Perhaps "in time" work on the texture so it does not look like foam; however it still looks really effective. Need to test whether it lags the maps though as a big element to consider. Perhaps have an option maybe to reduce the amount of particles for smoke grenades or something in the case that ones version of the game lags.

Well i liked the look of the texture which is one of the reasons why i choosed it (another was the lack of alternatives *g*) If you experience low FPS using the smoke grenade with the current game version - heres a fix available:

If I may put in a tip: the smoke looks illuminated. Is that intentional? (It's brighter than its environs.)

At this time we don't have any way of spawning different particle effects based on time of day. Would be nice, but probably a low-priority feature, and those tend to linger unimplemented for a long time.

Might be better to have a more Clear smoke effect then, less obvious at night?

Description

More of our new smoke grenades in action. Here my soldiers spawned in the open with 4 or 5 aliens looking down on me, so I used a smoke-screen to work them over to cover behind the buildings.
