Post news Report RSS River Town Update #7 - GUI continued (Encyclopedia)

I've done another piece of GUI. This time, it's an internal "encyclopedia".

Posted by on

River Town will have a huge volume of assets, such as items (fruits, meals, goods, plants), animals or villagers. Since it is a extremely large database of assets, it would be very beneficial to have all the descriptions in a one place.

Very interesting approach has been introduced by Sid Meier's Civilization. They introduced their own encyclopaedia with historical notions that were used/mentioned throughout the course of the game.
This is not only handy when it comes to checking properties of certain items, but helps to expand your knowledge by simple browsing through the catalogue just to learn something new.

I've tried to make something that would maintain similar functionality, yet be elegant and simple to use.

If you're after a certain item, you need to right click, and choose a "info" icon.

Which will lead you to the encyclopaedia:

Kickstarter campaign, April 2nd

Also, the most importantly, I'll be rolling out a Kickstarter campaign next week (April 2nd). I've got a heartwarming video prepared, I hope you'll enjoy it!

The campaign's result will determine whether the project will be developed or not, so I highly encourage to participate in the crowdfunding!

If you'd like to be updated on the progress of the project, you can do it through these channels:
