All of the vehicles are prototypes and include a family hatchback, two sports cars, and even a classic old-timer convertible. More vehicles will be added soon. Standard driving assistants such as ABS, traction control, stability control, and various suspension setups are also implemented. The driver can choose to drive freely in the open world (off-road), race along a 12-mile track through the Arizona desert, or participate in test programs on a proving ground. Lap timing is also available.
Proving Ground 2014 has been released on Feb 3rd on Desura.com. We are happy to see PG2014 rating go up to 54.
The Desura release is the latest version of Proving Ground 2014 covering a 8 square mile desert landscape.
The "Loop" is a 12 mile track which is a real challenge to complete without crashing at least once. The proving grounds straights, like in real life are there to familiarize yourself with the different vehicles and the airport track helps you to finesse your breaking skills and judgement of distance.
As mentioned before, PG2014 runs best on the latest NVIDIA cards with a wheel and pedal setup.
Thanks for all the support.
We are proud to announce that Proving Ground 2014 will be available for purchase and download on Desura on February 3rd.

Proving Ground 2014 DEMO2 version build 2.14.1217.13. This is a stripped-down, free version of the real simulator you can buy on our website. Login issues...
A reminder. The game uses the NVIDIA PhysX engine and has not been tested with other GPU cards then Nvidia as stated in the specs.
We also recommend the use of a wheel/pedal setup. No points, no challenges just pure driving to help finesse your driving skills.
I hope it is 10 times the demo because that was awful
Thanks for your comment.
Iv'e got a problem with the demo, when I set the game to lowest settings at 1600x1900 or something like that it lags like hell, my gpu can play other games at max settings or high settings just fine at 1920x1080, is there an optimizing issue here?
The game makes heavily use of Nvidia PhysX engine and runs at 80 FPS at 1920x1200 on a 760 GTX. It has not been tested on AMD cards. I recommend using the lowest settings. The full version has also been optimized in regards to FPS performance.
Thanks!
We are working on a Android version of it right now. Naturally it will be a smaller world and reduced to just one car. We'll announce when it's ready.
Enjoy and feel free to get the full version on www.provingground2014.com
