Tiny Lab Productions is a small indie game dev studio from Lithuania, Eastern Europe. 2 designers and a programmer have worked hard for almost a year to create a mid-core / hard-core premium action skill game - Orborun. The studio has previously made the MMO Web Strategy game "Nebula 44" (http://www.nebula44.com).
The first prototype came out at early 2013 as a flash game. It had bad controlls, hard levels, no tutorials, but players liked it and we had to lift the quality to the level it deserves!
Old version: Newgrounds.com
We were participating at the GameFounders accelerator and traveled around the world to get the feedback and knowedge.
The full version of Orborun is now available on Android / iOS / Desura (Windows, Linux, Mac) / GameStick. The game features robots which can transform into orbs, tutorial and 3 different worlds with more than 100 Levels, awesome soundtracks, better controlls, moving obstacles, portals, boosts, surprices and much more.... Try it yourself and let us know what you think about Orborun!
After one year of development "Orborun" is ready for the launch. It is already out on iOS and Android and we will port it for PC really soon! For now...
I'm eager to see the finished game on Linux. Too sweet.
I have not bought the game, but I hope that this review from what was shown in the video will help. I love the game and its graphics and the general idea is good. However, it is too simple and dull, it is merely an obstacle course needing a few reflex skills at most. I would purchase this alpha if enemies, puzzles and action were introduced. The way to lose the game can't simply be falling off the course, which is extremely monotonous. It would be smart to include multiple paths and ways to solve a puzzling course or adding a "flip" action which will make the robot automatically switch the direction it is moving in and maybe a small grapple mechanic...
Wait have you played the game? If you haven't, how can you judge it?
The simplicity is intended, It's supposed to a reflex-testing, twitchy take on the ball roller genre, and it's not trying to be anything more complex than that. I mean, that in a good way.
On Toucharcade, some described it as the "Super Meat Boy of ball rollers" and I think that's pretty accurate. Like in SMB, you'll need to play the level till you know it in and out, the best route to take for the fastest times, and how to avoid obstacles. Soon more hazards allow for more varied levels, due to stuff like moving platforms, portals, and more.
I love this game cant wait till next worlds :)
Thanks slayer64 :) there are 3 different Orbots with different special abilities and visual looks in game, however I think it will take lot's of time to collect enough zetium in the alpha version so you could unlock those... There are also 9 skins for each Orbot, try unlocking those for now :)
i like the character
