Hello guys and girls!
This dev log i wanted to talk about the Drop Pods and the “Drop shop”. As many Hunger Games fans knows they contestants has sponsors that can supply them with items during the game.
In Obitus pods will be dropped from the sky with random intervals and random positions. These pods contain items, such as medicine, weapons and food.
Each pod will have its own trail color. Pods with common items such as food, medicine etc will have a blue trail. Rare pods with that contains at least one weapon will show as Yellow/gold.
Except the random drop pods there's also personal drops. Each player has access to a drop shop where they can buy items to help them survive. The items have a cost, and the player has to spend points to buy from the shop.
Drop colors
When a player buys an item, it will drop a pod with a red trail. The pod will be dropped with a radius of about 30 meters from the players position during the buy.
This however reveals the position of the player to other contestants that most likely will hunt the player down.
The players get more drop points every 5 minutes and for every kill they execute.
Temporary Drop pod (need a 3d modeler eventually)
There can be only six pods at all times (personal pods not included) Once a pod has been looted it will get removed after about a minute. If a player decides to not fully loot a pod it will stay and potentially make it harder for other players to receive new pods.

Most items found in the drop shop can be crafted from resources found in the game. The crafted items have less durability and lower stats then purchased items.
The drop shop is split into three different categories. Food, medicine and weapons.
