Developement continues! We welcome our new team member Lee Meridith and we talk about the future.

Hey boys and girls!

Sunday is here! And so is a new update of Obitus!

Not very much has happened im afraid so this post might be a boring one. But i still wanna post atleast once a week so you guys know that progress is being made even if its not all visual.

We do have a new member. So I wanna welcome Lee Meredith to the team. He's a rigger/animator and gonna work with the player animations.

Lee have been cleaning up the player model and we have done testing mostly this week but gotten some backend work done also.

What exactly has been done?

We have added some more weapons and items to the game and making sure they work over the network.
We now got pick up item, drop item and equip item working nicely. Alot of performance related stuff has been worked on to improve the flow and feel of the game.

As mentioned in previous posts, items can be both crafted and found in drop pods. Items thats being dropped has better durability and overall stats then crafted. There will be some weapons and items that are more advanced then others.

We also resized the drop pods a bit. Previous pods was a it to big and it looked strange. Current model of the pod is capable of holding up to 4 and is just for development and will be replaced in due time. The real drop pod will hold up to 3 items.

What can you expect to see in future devlogs?

The plan is to have more visual stuff to show so you guys really get a feel for the game.

We are still working on the combat so im hoping to have something new to show around that. A small trailer is in the workings also and hoping to have that out maybe 2 weeks.

Im setting up a kickstarter campaign and hoping to have that up within a couple of days. (Probably for next weeks devlog). We really hope that people are interessted in the game and that we can hit our goal!
