Once again great tutorial, i had to learn the hard way!
Do you know an easy way -without coding- of making the camera changable, you know, like you could change to a different camera?
Yeah, I forgot to mention in the video (I'll add it to the annotations right now), but you can't have more than one camera active at any given moment, but you can have more than one monitor active.
So what you do is that you use inputs/outputs to disable one camera and enable another one and it's as simple as that. Oh, and I think you give the two cameras the same name.
Thank you for subscribing! ^^
hm, so u cant have morethen 1 camera activated?
I mean cam1 for monitor1, and cam2 for monitor2?
Or did i get it wrong?
No realy need to explain, if its to complicated.
But i dont remeber seen 2 types of monitors at once in hl2.
Just one there u can swich between some cameras at 1 monitor.
Only one camera in the whole level can be active at once. So, you can't have two monitors side-by-side showing different cameras.
So, yes, you have it right.
ahhh right, that makes sense i guess!!
Do you have any knowledge of sprites? like, for grass and such?
I have a little knowledge about that (not enough), but if it gets enough requests I'll make sure to learn all about it and make a tutorial on the subject. ;)
does that include ME keep on requesting lol!!!! :-)
Great work!
Haha, I'm afraid I can only take one request per subject from any one watcher. ;P
Thanks.
Really good. I really enjoy your tutorials.
I think that a lot of people, like me, have a lot of Hammer exp. especially on the brush part - Litterally the ability make it look good.
But lack the exp. to create these simpel entityes and great source material - that just makes it a lot more professional and entertaining, therefor these tuts. are a great help to me, and many others.
So - Thanks a lot Silverfisk.
Hah, I am the total opposite! I am good with entities but I need to work on making my maps look good! :D
How well that I can fill in the gap for some people then! :)
Same here :P Love messing with entities but hate doing brush work
@wazanator me 2
Coool!
Thanks you that you made a video because of ma (and I think other)request!
Cool video!
It was my pleasure, if you have any more suggestions I'd be glad to hear them! :)
Thanks!
thank you!
Nice tuto man! that what i like, short sweet and simple
Oh yeah...a tuto on how to make rough ground would be very nice...that one diffuculty I encounter in the hammer editor...that would be very nice
I have made a tutorial on the basics of displacements, that might be what you're looking for.

Thanks for this tutorial, Id still like one on importing Choregraphy into a map
Problem is I'm using Win7, Face Poser only works properly on WinXP. If I get the chance to record it on a computer with XP, I'll take it.
Detail brushes!
I already have a tutorial on detail brushes up actually!

Hey compadre!
Nice work there. Nicely explained and easy to follow. I like that flash menu you got there ;)
Thank you!
Glad you like the flash menu, it was much work for something seemingly simple. :)
can you add different effects to the monitors?
Yeah just select a different monitor texture for a different effect!
Good tut!
this is very usefull
Nice tutorial! very useful
Keep up the good tutorial work :)
