It's been a long time since the last progress update. Since that I've been working like crazy on the singleplayer portion of The Swapper mainly because I decided to post it to the IGF. I don't really expect to get anything from there but even being on the submissions list is at least nothing bad. Having a strict deadline to show something is also a great way to get things done.
On the other hand that all has also made the multiplayer much more real as the engine is now more optimized, less buggy and also looks way better than before. The next thing I'm going to start to work on is probably again the multiplayer side, or possibly a WYSIWYG level editor. The more stuff the maps get the more such thing is needed. It's already a hell of a job to place the lights to correct positions using a guess and hit method.
I'm not going to talk too much about the game mechanics now, there's a video for that purpose. A video spoiling some of the simplest puzzles and showing some of the game mechanics (still featuring mostly placeholder graphics):
