WE ARE LEAVING PSP
Yep, you read right. After the Atmospheric Demo is released, Support for a PSP version of Robotic Rebellion will be dropped.
Now, as much as this makes all of us want to cry into a pillow for 9 and a half months, This is for the greater good.
=====================
WHY WE ARE LEAVING
=====================
There are multiple reasons why we are not going to support the PSP version much longer, here are some of those reasons
- TIME CONSTRAINTS
As we all know, the PSP section of MODDB and INDIEDB is fading very fast, and a complete version of Robotic Rebellion will take quite a bit of time, more than we have left. We are afraid to spend all of this time, effort and money just to see that only a few people will play this.
- HARDWARE
As many of you know, the best PSP FPS engine available is DarkQuake, which albeit a very good engine, it is still not enough. It does not bring out 100% of what the PSP is capable of, even if the PSP is overclocked to the maximum. Along with the fact that we are using a nearly 20 year old engine, on a 10 year old system that the engine is not designed for. Creating our own engine would take about as much of the time to create the game itself, in which time is the one thing that we do not have.

WHAT WILL THE PSP RELEASE HAVE?
===============================
The PSP release will mainly be a small section of the world of Robotic Rebellion in which the player can traverse what is available, and fight whatever gets into the players way. There will be a few extra maps that will not be directly available throughout the world, but you can still access them via the menu (Keep in mind, some of the maps will crash, and others may or may not be test maps)
Survival Mode will not be present within the PSP version, but very basic parts of it may be included here and there. A few weapons will be available for you to try out within some of the test maps, but other than that, its just a demo.
============================================
WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF ROBOTIC REBELLION?
============================================
We plan to continue work as normal, and we are currently experimenting with the Unity and Unreal for the PC version.
We will eventually have this released and extended on PC and hopefully other consoles. Atmosphere is one of our main priorities, so Virtual Reality is something that we are eyeing (Oculus Rift, Possible 3DS)
=======================
IT CONTINUES WITH YOU
=======================
Even when the PSP version will come and go, We hope that you all will stick around to see how this game progresses. The big reason why we want to finish this game is not money, not fame, but YOU, because the community is what keeps us going. We are always happy to answer questions, and are always open to ideas from you guys.
Good luck to us, and everyone!
bad news
Can we get at least some form of release?
We are having a small demo release and possibly a bigger release afterwards.
I saw this coming.
