I have just noticed your game, and it looks similar to my old project from 2006: Lne.sourceforge.net

You can build your spaceship, and its movements are based on a physical model (that is, for example, a jet engine that is not placed centrally will cause both thrust and rotation). You also need to program your ship to navigate it comfortably. And somehow make it resilient, so that it won't be broken if enemies shoot some of your engines down.

Probably much too complicated for most gamers, but I would like a game like this... but never got very far.

Thanks! What operating system are you using? A Windows executable is included, and instructions for Linux should be easy to follow. Unfortunately I have no access to MacOS, I only know that someone was able to compile one of the previous versions... so I cannot help you there for now.
