I think the mod's out of development for good. I talked to the guy and he said he just doesn't feel motivated to continue making the mod and doesn't have the time unfortunately.

Oh my bad mate, most people inferred that it was dead since the development team has gone quiet for a while. I'm glad the mod is still on! Hope to see some new modders join the team and gain some experience!
The houndeye effect is pretty cool man, reminds me of black mesa, but I think that effect happening excessively in the context of gameplay could get pretty irritating, maybe make it less severe for more enemies that attack the player?
Imo the Full Auto pistol is a bit over powered, but besides that I want to say this mod looks amazing and I can't wait for a full release! Keep it up you and Saruna are doing great things!
Im so proud for this mod and I cant wait to see full release, keep up the amazing work!
"The Package"
"We are Pulling Out!"
Wow, Gearbox are some dirty minded bastards.
Oh...my..god... is this what Half Life 3 is like? Everything's so beautiful
Buddy, you do realize that it has been completely rebooted and made into a whole new game, Entropy Zero? I don't think they'd give you the source code at all especially not a hl2 2005 mod.
Really amazing, gave me the biggest nostalgia attack I've ever had, only thing that would make it from a 9.5/10 to a 10/10 is adding some ambiance and a music track, that'd make the silence less awkward. But honestly it's early development so I can see why there is none but still amazing.
Hey everyone, I think the mod's dead, they haven't made a statement in over a year about the mod, and it's died out alot overtime with alot of people critiquing it and things like that, unfortunate that creators with potential have to scrap a mod because they fall off and leave each other
Ew stop please, that's a bad idea.
Hey, Crikey here. Working on a full video review of this, playing it while talking to Greeny. Overall had a fun time with it, probably because I used cheats but I did and will give it fair judgement and play through for my video review. As for right now, I believe that the PLH Tech Demo was a great experience and personally knowing the Cloud 6 Staff, I can say that some of the members worked their a$%^s off to get us, the players entertainment for no cost at all and for them to make no profit.
As for the gameplay experience, besides minor visual glitches that weren't fixed, that only persists for 2 minutes of gameplay, (thanks crappy source engine) but the rest is on point with presentation so here's my TL:DR review of PLH
Gameplay: 10/10 Gives all off the perks of portal plus new puzzle and gameplay mechanics, with amazing movement and not movement bugs nor glitches.
Visuals: 4/10
This was a rough one to decide, Although the visuals top most of HL2's and Portal 1 and 2's, some sections weren't the best looking and I as a programmer and mapper myself recognized some of the faults in the visuals. But knowing the devs well, I can cut them some slack as this was a fallen apart project for a WHILE.
Creativity: 8/10
Literally no lack of creativity on this mod. Next Section.
Mod Sentence: Absynthe is broken, but good mod.
Also its not 2 HALFS you dodo, its 2 HALVES proper English kiddo
Sometimes, I cheese about dreams
Lighting is way too strong, adjust that light!, also needs some other sources of light or some more detail like dust or some different textures, also textures are unaligned.
Eerie. But maybe change up the textures a bit? Im sure you can make this super good
Ohhhhh, yeah thats different bc its buult off goldsrc.
Damn good job, too bad I can't really do anything atm.
I see this mod getting a lot of hate, which I think it to be unjustified.
All I see people comment "map bad trailer long" but here is my honest opinion but also a way to FIX this mod and just media making in general.
1. Make the trailer music match with the footage being rolled.
(In this example, we'll use this trailer, you add very fast pace music to a slow pace vanilla HL2, which is very dull. Maybe play some slow music, don't use default transitions, and just think outside the box with things like, Color Correction, Light Entites, Light Spots, Sprites, and just what you have at your disposal in general.)
2. Try to get to the point in a trailer, (basically, showcase the things you want to show QUICKLY.) Overtime, these new generations and just people on media in general have lesser attention spans due to things being very short on the internet, this is why podcasts, live streams, etc, have lesser viewers than things like YouTube content, Stream Highlights, etc.
Try to shorten it down into basics as much as possible.
3. Don't overthink things, remember what made HL2 good.
HL2 is a very successful game for these reasons,
1. Innovative Physics and Game Mechanics, for its time.
2. High Res models and textures, again, for its time.
3. And a very well shown (not told) story.
If you can implement these aspects into your mod (no need for overcomplex "innovative combat systems".) Then you have a successful that will garner a following.
Good luck on Race-X, and please consider these tips.
