I really would like to create one but I'm not sure how to compile a Linux build on Windows.

I'm not hosting them right now due to irl stuff. You can use something called "radmin" or "hamachi" if you want to play with someone.
You need to have Portal and Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer installed in the exact same directory and on the same drive.
While I probably won't put them in the mod officially, you can add them in Moddb.com
I've also been trying to make this mod more friendly for map makers. But I won't be updating this mod for at least another 2 weeks due to irl stuff.
Fantastic work so far. If there's one thing I don't like it's the "cutscenes", to be specific, the one when you pickup your glock. Knocking on the door wasn't too bad as it briefly takes control of your camera, but I still would've preferred if the knocking didn't exist mainly because Blue Shift didn't require you to knock. One last thing is that I dislike that the crowbar has it's firing speed reduced, it just feels a bit slower when trying to break stuff.
This is really good and is an hl2 portalgun mod that actually has effort put into it! There are some bugs however, when a Portal is above a displacement and you step near the Portal, you will fall through the displacement. I'm not sure if you can count this one as a bug, but while you are on a mounted turret while the portalgun is equipped, the crosshair doesn't change to hl2's crosshair.
Another thing I suggest is going to portal_util_shared.cpp and add some entities to the UTIL_Portal_Trace_Filter function. You can add npc_turret_floor, npc_manhack and npc_rollermine as well as all ammo, item and weapon entities.
I cannot wait for this.
It's not "HD". It's just Portal 2 textures.
You are supposed to put the "portal_tiny" or "portal_tiny_HaS" folder into the sourcemods folder. That is the proper way otherwise you will be missing quite a lot. The custom folder is not at all of how you are supposed to install sourcemods. You will be missing the binaries if you don't put the folder in properly.
It is indeed played by logic_choreographed_scenes. But you will need to tell me more than just "it doesn't work".
It does, in fact it is a timed catcher too. We didn't copy and paste it from Rexaura but we wanted to have multiple types of catchers. Green just happened to be the color.
It is in the top 100 of mod of the year. Good luck! This is by far the best HL2 Mod I've ever played.
I just put the model in there and then I used a hex editor to get the vtf to work properly. I didn't port the model and the ball button is used for a place holder.
Some HEV suit dialogue sounds seem to be louder or quieter than the others.
I think we can both agree that this mod has started it all. I'd almost say this mod created history for the Portal Modding Community.
In other words, it's not finished. Just because you see it on moddb doesn't mean it's a mod you can play.
He's never posted a download yet.
Some pronounce it like this:
Floss-e-noss-e
Some others may pronounce it like
flocc-e-noss-e to and the 2 c's are pronounced like success.
Okay. I've never seen Manic Mechanic before. I just saw someone playthrough it. I see what you mean now, I still had to add the 2nd level because playtesters were very confused on what to do on the 3rd level.
Thank you. The last level was supposed to be a hard to solve puzzle. This really is hard to solve if you are a new player or an unskilled player.
If it weren't for the 2nd level, I promise you, you would be stumped on the 3rd level. Playtesting revealed that so then I had to create the 2nd test chamber. The 2nd test chamber taught the player that spheres roll by simply putting the sphere in the hole. This teaches the player that spheres rolling like that will be used in the test chambers.
Actually never mind, I'm not going to include Portal 2 sounds.
Just to let you know, I was fairly new to Portal level creation when I released demo 1 and demo 2.
To be honest, the demo version of the mod doesn't introduce you to the catchers very well. I have an update coming for the playtesters and I have high hopes that this will help them. The only thing I introduced well were the sphere buttons.
I don't care at all. Anyone can record it.
Actually, not the sounds but instead of just more of the concepts.
