Will the Desura version be updated to this?
Will the Desura version be updated to this?
Sorry, no, the mobile stores are "walled gardens" - they don't allow external purchases to activate on-store apps. It's also quite some extra work supporting the mobile version in addition to the desktop version (unlike Mac and Windows which are basically identical builds).
I try to avoid preannouncing too much. Even when 1.2 is released, I won't be saying much about what's new. Giving info like that is probably smart marketing, but it spoils the game a bit for people who like to discover stuff themselves.
The new classes will of course be immediately obvious upon release, and the one I've pre-announced is the Rogue - since it's conspicuously absent in a Roguelike! ;-)
The price will have to go up eventually - the next version adds more character classes and since those are $1 on iOS, the desktop version will probably go up too - no idea how much by yet though.
It's something I'd like to add - including moving saves between the Desktop and Mobile versions. But there is still a lot of gameplay stuff I want to implement first before adding this sort of thing.
Cloth was bugged at the engine level. I'm waiting for the engine vendors to respond so I can re-enable it in WazHack. Sounds like they've been working on it so maybe by the time WazHack 1.2 is ready, it'll be back. I like it for their hair most ;-)

If it's not there, contact Desura sales.
I didn't even know that was possible. You must have given them an email or some way to contact you where they would have sent the receipt and login details.
Whoever you paid. If you paid here, you can get it again here:
Its heritage actually goes back much further than that. It's inspired by NetHack, and Rogue - which is where the genre of roguelikes gets its (silly) name.
Tell all your Linux friends about it - but also tell them to vote for it on Steam Greenlight so it'll be worth a native Linux version!
You need the 'Gifts' link at the bottom of this page.
It is expecting at least an 'Arial' or 'Helvetica' system font to be available. The game font is built it (that's the one you see).
Hmm... it *does* use a unique font size (nice big easy-to-read letters - I hate typing stupid CD keys in as much as you do).
You can CTRL-V paste it in though, so even if you can't see it, it should work fine. It may take a few seconds to accept the input though, IIRC.
Yes... slightly blew up the server quota for a couple of hours there ;-).
I'll probably need to increase the PC price eventually, since the Mobile versions will probably eventually be both pay-per-class-pair ($1 is the best price on mobile, it lets everyone try it for a lark).
Thanks for the GOG tip, I'll check it out, though each new distributor is another lag in the release process (beta builds only go on the web and Android currently since they're the only ones that support rapid deployment).
Shouldn't be anything special - if keys don't work there, they shouldn't work in-game either - the input routines are the same - do they work in-game? Best to check on a WINE forum or maybe ask on the Reddit /r/WazHack forum. It should just be click and then type.
I can't really support a version under WINE, but I do promise to make a Linux version if it gets onto Steam through Greenlight - mostly of course because it's a huge distribution, but also because Steam specifies are nice narrow ABI. The engine I use supports Linux and I have done a trial build which sort-of worked with an earlier version of the engine.
Of course, regardless of Steam, I'm very happy keeping WazHack here on Desura. I haven't been following the Desura Linux client progress though.
Have you got a controller plugged in? Depending on the controller, that could upset it (a slightly off-zero joystick might make it cycle through the buttons making them flicker).
Either unplug the controller, or better still, configure it in Options/Input - Controller support is really only experimental for now.
Let me know what sort of controller you had if this was the case and I'll see if I need to do anything special to avoid the problem.
And stop playing games at work ;-)
Are you running version 1.1.8?
Note that if it says "Registered" that means that it has registered that nickname to you. It will say "Not Available" if it's already taken.
I'm not too far off myself. The next update will be version 1.2, which is a major update adding new characters and all sorts of other goodies! (Sorry for the late reply, I don't check here often enough!)
If Steam allows it (afaik, they usually do), then you will get a free key.
* Desura for Windows/Mac/Web (all by the one key)
* Google Play Store for Android only
* Apple App Store for iOS only (coming soon)
It's mainly like this because of the Play Store terms and conditions (and Apple App Store is even stricter). The mobile version is also a little cheaper.
You are spot-on there: most of the exciting moments in any roguelike occur when you have to stop and think ... which doesn't make for much of a video!
Nearly all the work is done - after the beta, when 1.1 is released, I'll be submitting a build to Apple for approval!
Beta is up now! Enjoy!
It will go gold as soon as enough people have played without finding bugs. No reports after 50 games yesterday, so that's a promising start.
Ah, oops, maybe both our answers might help someone else then. Well done on the win, but watch out: in 1.1 that last room will be teleport-proof!
No compat mode should be needed. Windows 7 Pro 64bit is exactly what I use when developing, and that's a pretty popular video card. Does the web version work (www.wazhack.com/play)? If you hold Shift while running it, you'll get a config dialog, where you can change the default resolution and graphics settings - if a resolution works for you, let me know and I'll try to investigate (I'm just one Indie dev, so my test hardware is limited).
Absolutely! Version 1.1 is mostly done - it will be in beta soon.
Some creatures, yes - use the "Cast" (spell) menu.
