thanks
I considered adding The Settlers style road building in the beginning (and still think it would be cool) but in favor of not making things too complicated for the AI I have put that on hold for now.
I keep pushing off the progress report because I always hope that I can put out something more demo like in the future, but theres still too much to do. I will probably give a proper update this weekend or next one.
Yea with the exception of your own territory everything else starts of desaturated. Its kind of the equivalent of "unexplored" other games tend to have at the beginning.
It kind of makes the start look a bit more boring but in exchange you can rather quickly see the world turning colourful as you start establishing diplomatic relations.
There should be a file called "SwordScroll.jar". You can execute it either via
- DoubleClick (You may be prompted that the file is not executable, if so mark it as executable under properties)
- Commandline: "java -jar SwordScroll.jar"
In both cases you need a java runtime. Have fun!
Thank you! I am using an engine I built myself for self-teaching purposes during the last year.
