I doubt I could get a license for Switch because I still haven't released on the Wii U after all this time. I need to prove myself first. And it's not really a dead system. Lots of people still play it.

How can I not care for the Switch? Because I have absolutely zero interest in mobile gaming. And although you can still play on TV, it's just a mobile system plugged into the TV. No thanks.

The first new screenshot has been posted recently. All other screenshots will be removed as soon as we add a few more new ones. Only the latest screenshot represents the current game. All the others are from a prototype that no longer exists.
I've changed this page to reference the first chapter of the game called Prologue. a new page will be added for Dragon's bane when Prologue has been released. Note that the screenshots shown here are from prototype versions of an earlier incarnation of Prologue and do not represent the current state of the game. New screenshots shall be added soon.

This game has been put on hold while we complete Scions of Chaos: Prologue.
This game has been put on hold while we complete Scions of Chaos: Prologue.
The first chapter to this series is called Scions of Chaos: Prologue. We've been hard at work on this one for the past several months. Our target for submission to Nintendo is end of December. I'll be putting up the new IndieDB page for the Prologue game in the next couple of weeks. I'm very excited to start showing content from Prologue. I think it is the kind of indie game that Wii U users have been missing.
We've made the decision to go back to the Wii U platform exclusively for this game series. There will be a chapter to this series that comes before Dragon's Bane and will be announced soon.
Progress is being made on a technology demo to showcase the features of the full game. We plan to release the technology demo on Itch.io in early October.
I'm a Wii U developer myself and still releasing on that platform. I was hoping this would come out there too. I don't care for the Switch at all. Sorry to hear it was canceled on Wii U.
Whatever happened to the Wii U version?
Unfortunately for us poor humans, our standards for right and wrong are really low and someday we will stand before the one who gave us life and gave us the law. And his standard is supremely high. None of us can measure up to it.
And you'll notice Nintendo agrees with me as the videos for their stolen IP have been taken down. Hopefully the games have as well.
Ethically, it is wrong to steal someone's property and that's what IP is. So this is not only against the law, it's wrong.
Creating straw man arguments doesn't help your case.
You're wasting your time trying to convince me that the established IP laws are wrong. If you don't agree with them then hire some lawyers and fight to get the laws changed. This isn't about what you personally think is right or wrong, but what the laws say. And the law says you are wrong.
Of course not. Are you that out of touch with what's right and what's wrong?
If you want to remake these games at home for your own personal use and as a learning experience and you are doing it through legitimate means then that's not the problem. But promoting them and offering them for download is the criminal part. It is certainly not covered under fair use.
Your statement that it may be a crime but I don't have to like it is crazy. Do you even hear what you're saying?
If I want to ruin everyone's fun? Some people might think it's fun to rob banks, steal cars, or rape women too, but I wouldn't call someone who wants to prevent those crimes a party pooper. It's my moral duty to uphold the law as a God fearing, law-abiding citizen.
We certainly live in a crazy world where instead of getting support for upholding the law and the rights of others I instead get attacked for it. Regardless, I don't have to justify being on the side of the law. Have fun justifying theft right up until you're the one being held accountable for engaging in it.
Sure you can. And you would be committing a crime. You see, just because you don't get caught doesn't mean it's not wrong. Do you only follow the law when you are sure you will get caught if you don't? A person of integrity obeys the law whether they will get caught or not.
The issue is that it's illegal. Saying that it's justified to commit a crime because people want it is a crazy argument. So, because I want that money in the bank then I can steal it?
Copyright infringement is wrong. I've reported the Nintendo clones to Nintendo's legal department.
Wow, you're promoting blatant copyright infringement on IndieDB now?
We started our final series of story/design meetings. In 2 weeks we will present a final story/design document. If all goes well then we will sign off on the design and start planning for the beginning of production.
We are finalizing our technology testing and making our final decisions on the technology to be used in the game. I am confident we will be bringing the game to the Wii U as planned. Production is still expected to start in Q1 this year.
Sorry for all the delays. I've decided to wait closer to release before updating this page with new information. The game is coming along nicely and we are closer to the finish line. I'm finishing up the game's core levels before moving on to detail work and polishing.
This was cancelled on Wii U so the page should remove that tag.
Production for this game has been moved to Q1 2018 due to technical issues. We still want this to be released on Wii U first and some technical challenges need to be resolved before moving forward. We anticipate all technical issues to be resolved by end of the year so we can begin production in early 2018.
