Well, it's an unfinished game after all. Released because it was demanded by fans. Feel free to play or ignore or finish the mod if you want.
Wow, I tried this, and it really is working! I will forever be thankfull for making our game playable. Send me a message, and I'll make you into a donator and mapper (you will be given in game TMP and MP5) for your efforts.
Cool! Can you write a guide on how you did? I'm sure many people would like to know. Perhaps create a thread in our forum?
We have no plans to support Cry of Fear anymore, especially not porting it to Mac, since that's way too much work. We would pretty much have to rewrite the engine code, which we don't have the knowledge for.
The engine we're using for CoF is the one before they made Mac support. Their new engine does not support the Paranoia renderer that Cry of Fear is using.
It happens whenever you die while having flares lit in your hand. No matter where you are or how you die.
It's a known bug and has been there for ages. We will probably never fix it though.
No known server browser works for Cry of Fear at the moment, and I don't know if it ever will...
CoF is in Indie Game Of The Year, not Mod Of The Year. You can vote on both if you want, since it's different competitions.
You can vote on both Underhell and CoF, they are in different competitions.
Hi, yeah I know about that site, it's cool seeing it. But you can not say it's an official site. Only sites that we own and make can be official.
Uh. Because not everyone has 64 bit OS.
Please read description before downloading!
Looks awesome indeed.
The MP5 will not exist in co-op, only in Single Player. And it will not spawn in the level unless you are a mapper. So it will not be like the TMP. This is different.
Well, when we made Cry of Fear, we weren't really focusing on making it scary. We were more focusing on making an emotional game with an interesting story. Something that could drag the players into a dark world.
Afraid of Monsters is purely focused on horror.
To be honest, I don't really care which one you think is scarier, since it's two different games. It's not how scary the game is that is important, but how entertaining and enjoyable it is to play, plus something that can leave an impact on the players.
So we don't deserve anything at all after all this hard work?
Nah, it's not used when running. This is just a demonstration screenshot of the blur effect.

So what can I say about myself. Well, I can start with that I LOVE horror based stuff; horror movies, horror games, horror etc. And what more I love is to make games. Since I played Resident Evil of the age of 7, I always wanted to make a game myself in that kind of horror style. So I started to work with 2D games (in Games Factory), but when I wanted to take a bigger step to 3D, I started to mod for Half-Life 1. First mod was Afraid of Monsters which would only be a test mod, but became something better than only a test, so I uploaded it here on ModDB. I was only at the age of 12-14 when I made AoM, yeah, pretty damn sick for that kind of fantasy (if you've played it), but that's me, crazy and sick! :D I love to use my fantasy for stuff I love to do. So, yeah... Hope you try out my mods and mods I've helped with.
