Thank you, that's great to hear! I haven't been able to get much done since I released the world builder demo, but I finally got my stuff all set up. Just got one tough bug that I've been struggling with then I'll be going heavy into getting more gameplay implemented. :)

Thank you :) I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable selling it in its current state. My code definitely needs a rework before that. I may consider it in the future though. You are probably about the tenth person to ask me so far.
Thanks for the kind words :) I checked out your demo reel. Your work looks good. I wish I had more time to spend on my 3D skills. That's one of my favorite parts of development.
I don't know about an alpha, there's too much left to do for me to really estimate that. But the demo will be out sometime in May for sure.

Yes! :) I've decided to showcase one of the secondary modes in the first demo. It will be a world builder more than a game. Almost like a level editor. I wanted to have something to show but the main game is too buggy and missing too many features at the moment so I didn't want that to be anyone's first experience with it.
Yes! I took a break for a bit and have been working on stuff that is hard to show so I haven't updated much lately. I've got some things to finish up and will be updating soon though. I'll also have an update on the music here soon. The guy I've got doing it is phenomenal. If everything goes according to plan, I should have a tech demo up sometime next month :) Thanks for asking!
I have been excited for Outland 17 ever since I heard about. It was probably the game I was most looking forward to. I love turn-based strategy games and RPGs. X-COM:EU is probably my favorite game of all time. That said, after playing the demo, I didn't really enjoy it and it's only because of the linear tile system. I know it's still early in development, so I'll be happy to give it another shot in the future, but I'm worried because it seems like that feature won't be changing. Maybe adding more cover could help, but as it is the gameplay feels 1-dimensional and like I have very little control over my characters movement.
I hate to say it, but it seems like the effort to make the game quicker and more accessible could really keep the fans of the genre away.
Yep, I haven't quite figured out how it's going to work yet but there will be animals :)

Oh ok I thought you meant games with an actually spherical world. Are you thinking of Godus? That sounds like what you described. It's made by Peter Molyneux the guy that made Populous and Black and White. I haven't played it, but from what I've read people were pretty disappointed with it.
Thanks for your input! I'm doing everything I can to make sure Caeludum delivers an original and unique experience. What are those other games you are thinking of? I've seen Universim, that's the only one I know of but I'd like to check em out if there are others.
Thank you! As far as the map size goes I think it will look much larger when I'm done with it. Each one of the huts represents a village that will actually be up to about 50 houses. I'm just trying to focus on getting the gameplay implemented right now before I start improving the visuals anymore. Thanks again!
