As stated in my previous blog post, I am working on an Amnesia custom story. So far it is coming along great and it may be available as a demo before the end of next month. As with all custom stories, the features are what help draw in potential players. As such, here are some of mine.

• (X Number) well designed and detailed maps.
• Gripping storyline that engages the player.
• Absolutely no jump scares or cheap horror effects. Every scare is thought out and relevant to the plot.

The list is short right now, but I'll be sure to add more key features as I make progress. Until next time, happy modding :-).

Right now I am working on a custom story for Amnesia: The Dark Descent. This is my first one, so I am putting even more energy into making it fantastic. Right now it is an alpha build that I don't even feel comfortable posting as a demo yet, but rest assured, it's coming along great. As a video game design student, I guess you could say that this is helping me build my design portfolio.

As for a description of the story, you are playing as a character who has yet to be named. The story is set in the year 1801. You are a wealthy landowner who is a very reclusive man that likes to be left alone. However, he does venture out of his estate once in a while to meet with a secret society called "The Order of the Black Eagle." This is my own twist that I put on the society mentioned in the original game. Other than that, it bears no resemblance to the original plot, as this is an original story.

Anyways, the main character awakens something as he conducts a ritual that was too powerful for the order to handle. His reclusive nature has only made the problem worse, as now the shadow wants to reclaim the man responsible for it's awakening. The rest is a work in progress, however, I promise it will be good :-). Here's a short description that I made for the game menu.
