The mod is going through a transition.

I got the maps together on one engine but there was many bugs generated from the 3dsmax scripts, There is not a proper Renderware col/dff exporter.

I was chasing my tale fixing bugs but really I needed to address how the dff files was being created apon being exported.

So I changed the way the mod was being developed from using Rockstars models to creating my own.

Beta 69.9 was only for the team, but this got leaked. this will be release towards the end of this year.

If your having problems installing the mod, sometimes not all the files get overwriten by the installer.

You can try and unpack all the files into an empty folder first, then copy your AUDIO and Anims folder into the same emtpy folder and run it from there.

Remember to rename the folder to GTASOL51.9 or whatever works for you.

DLC Updates for GTASOLbeta 51.9 (Oct 29, 2009)

For tomorrow, I will not be around much to mod, these might be day mini updates to speed up progress.

Just download this update and run it in your GTA MOD folder, Some machines you may need you to choose the file path.

This update replaces update A, B & C.

Just install this over your MOD folder.

Thankyou to those who have been bug hunting - Flat Face, Jur1zz and menny.

This update includes;
1. Mansion is fixed, LOD have been put right
2. Littleh, areas fixed.
3. Building site northn fixed.
4. Garage doors removed.
5. Some water areas fixed.
6. More vehicles added (but hidden for now)

There is a poll for the continuation of this project.

Should I call it a day and move on, or get stuck on and get this bi*ch done.

I have been away for sometime, I am tired with an Illness on a daily basis, and I am not really modding or doing anything right now, I have had a lot of other life issues to contend with given the credit crunch and this has not been a priority.

I was planning to continue this around the end of August, but given everyone has jumped on the GTAIV modding band-wagon, this project kind of seems pointless.

I did achieve what I set out to do from when I first started 3 years ago, and thats get all cities on one map, but I do feel bad for the lack of progress in the last year or so and nowhere to host the mod files.

Lack of support for me means lack of interest, so I will start a poll.

Please goto the main SOL site. Gtastateofliberty.com site for the poll in the VC section of the mod.

I say no, Cycling shouldn't be allowed, in my time of being a modder for 12 years now, i've seen a lot of mod stealing.

To make a mod means you should either bring something new intoan ageing game, or make something new.

Ive just released an update for GTASOL beta 49.0

1. This update fixes some issues in LC that was over looked, Also repairs some models in SA.

2. IPL data files have been sorted (no errors this time).

3. Replaces 3 broken textures for LC and SA.

Nothing as found in VC.

How to install this update.

1. Copy the update contents to your GTASOL folder.
Thats Fixedmodes/ Tools/ and the Data/ overwriting what is there.
(In the windows option box click Replace all.)

Note; Everything should be in with your GTA-SOL.exe.

2. Click on the 'GTASOL49.1 Remove Old' and wait for this to finish.
Close window.

3. Click on the 'GTASOL49.1 Updater' and wait for this to finish.
Close window.

4. Open/extract the Imgtool.exe found in the tools folder of the mod and select the GTA3.img file found in GTASOL/Models.

5. Rebuild the GTA3.img file.

6. Close all, Play the mod.

?. Problems with the scripts?

If the Updater script do not work for you.

Find in the folder fixedmodels, Delete these from your GTA3.img.
Then Add the new files found in fixedmodels and rebuild the archive.

Please don't unless you have something of detail; where on the map a bug might be, etc.

I need more info, sorry mate, but I tested the mod heavy before I released it.. it works ok on here.

I think there may be a hardware problem, however lets see what others have to say.

I have also noticed that the mod works for those better then others..

So knowing what hardware gives the most problems helps.

PS, Heavy Vehicle cheat allows you to access tunnels.

You might want to read the readme on how to fix those issues, we know there is vehicles issues, and if you do problem issues with the mod, we do need a little more then it doesn't work.

If the crashing happens when you crash your vehicle, I've said use a trainer, Heavy Vehicle or no damage cheat will fix these problems, until we are able to fix the exe.

Just an FYI; There is a vehicle bug in this version, to override the problem use a trainer found in the tools folder of this mod, Press Left Shift + 2 for the Heavy car cheat.

We are looking into this, and this may take some time to work out, this was the main reason why the mod was delayed for 2 months.

We need people to help work on this project.

1. Coders to write installers. trainers and help work on the gtasol.exe.
2. We need a modeler and texture team to speed up the progress made on the maps
3. SCM mission coders, and a story line writer.
4. Option on installer to choose how the map is installed, VC-LC only or LC+VC and SA, this can be done adding the right gtasol.dat

If you think you can do one of the above, let us know.

am currently working on map glitches and this is going to take some time to put right, since 3dsmax seems to stuff up some of the SA models.

I am also planning to add a lot of LCS and VCS models, that will be locked into the SCM, this will allow us to start the game with the maps looking like the early 1980's, as you progress through the game the maps will change accordingly to the standard LC and VC (around 1990's), to present day 2007 map changes.

Edit; New stable version of the mod, SOLbeta 47.2v5 Doghouse.

All known bugs have been fixed for beta 47.1, Part of the SA map is included in this version (vegas), but with most new advences comes new bugs and glitches to be worked on next year.

SA can be found to your west of Vice City, to reach SA your need the heavy car cheat, Click here for the trainer.
