Awesomely awesome. Thanks for taking the time to reply, I've got my money ready to throw at the screen as soon as the Linux build goes live!

Hrm, are you guys using SDL1.2 or SDL2? SDL2 has had some amazing improvements in things like controller configuration and multimonitor support.
Gonna grab it as soon as the Linux version drops! Do you guys know if the Linux version has proper controller support?
Dear Rockin' Android,
Why you no crossplatform? :(
With love,
Kame
Hrm, running Linux here and it crashes out upon launch with
"ERROR: Error: file pak000.pk4/script/map_recycling1.script, line 464: Exceeded global memory size (196608 bytes)"
Anyone have any ideas?
Says Ubuntu but seems it should run on any distro.
Requires: liblua5.1-0:i386 and libglew1.6:i386 (possibly others that I already have installed)
If at any time you hit ESC the game will exit. For me it segfaults out (which caused me a good 10 minutes of trying to figure out why it was segfaulting when I hit esc to skip the intro :p). I'm assuming that the hitting ESC exiting the game is normal behavior.
Looks very nice. Any chance of a Linux version?
From the Devs:
"There is indeed Linux support planned. I guess we never updated that part.... hmm
Anyway, yes. We do plan on having Linux support when we release, we just don't have it currently running for the beta :)"
I believe that's the way Desura automatically does it (you put in one amount and that gets set as the cost in all currencies) but it is changeable. I'll hit 'em up in IRC and see what's up
Looks like it! (leastways, it is $2.99 here)

I had the same issue.
Make sure mono is installed.
If it is then, sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dev
Should fix it
It's not like installing the 32 bit libs is difficult or has any detrimental affects on the system...
Pre-ordered so I don't forget to buy it when it comes out! Looks great.
Actually support for monogame is coming along QUITE nicely, to the point where people have managed to get some games working in it without the developers doing anything at all. Terraria can run this way I believe.
If you do release a Linux version I'd definitely buy it by the way!
The CORRECT thing to do is put it in ~/.local/share
Update from the game dev:
"Someone just emailed me and suggested that we upload the auto-updating version to Desura when it's done next year - what a good idea! Thus solving the problem for everyone forever."
Bought and beat the Linux version, this game is simply amazing. The only bad thing? It's too short. But for $3 I guess I can't expect it to be TOO long!
To the devs: Any chance of a level editor type deal?
Interestingly, if you search for Cave Story, it shows up with the name Cave Story+
hmm...
Gah, that's what I get for only rarely vising indiedb. Seems like it's over? Any way to still donate?
Wait, 8-bit funding who? Why was I not informed of this?
Also: Linux version?
That was referring to the original game Dyson. Dyson did have a Linux port but when the game became Eufloria instead it was dropped.
On the one hand, this games looks amazing and I would normally buy it. On the other hand unfortunately, it supports Linux so I'm going to buy it.
Hmm, all 4 humble bundle introversion games added to Desura, humbe bundle desura keys to follow? ONLY TIME CAN TELL.
Awesome! Also please make a news post when it does get released so those of us watching notice :p
Bought this before I realized it uses adobe air. Oh well, I guess I'll have to spend an hour or two actually managing to install it
