I am an intermediate Source SDK user (Half-Life 2 content, etc). I am creating several mods of my own (99 Bolts, Assault on Overwatch, and other personal projects) and I am contributing to several other mods (Room Escape, etc). Hey Phillip. Here's my second map on Hard Mode. I'm thinking about making that a little featurette or something: Hard Mode. Where I take the most difficult maps you can possibly find (within reason of course) and I try my damnedest to beat the map on Hard Mode with no cheats at all.
This map was something odd. Although the mapping was truly lacking on so many fronts (as evidenced in the video on several occasions), the NPC combat was pretty awesome. I had to play this map maybe 10 times before I finally felt confident that I could survive on a recorded playthrough.
I wish this guy had playtested even a little bit because there were some truly basic, totally avoidable errors in there. But again, the Half-Life 2 NPC's and the chaotic non-stop assaults really made this fun.

:D sorry about the bugginess, my maps are usually at least a LITTLE more polished than this one was. I made some last minute changes to this one which broke a couple things (the rocket crate that won't open and the turrets that won't shut up, and the non-respawning combine and forever respawning balls)
It was really cool watching someone play it, though, buggy as it was :P I have some other challenging maps you might enjoy - try this one Fpsbanana.com on hard mode - there's one problem with a light getting in the way of an airboat ramp but i think that's the only issue with that one.
