Thanks!
True! I was actually the lead designer on the mod that inspired The Opera and The Specialists. Action Half-Life's dives and stunts pre-date both of those mods by quite a while and even Max Payne by almost a year.
Well this is about the baseline speed but you'll be able to boost stats that will allow you to move faster and kick up the gameplay a notch.. Also there are some stunts that haven't been implemented yet that will allow you to move around faster. But it won't be twitch shooter levels.
That is the plan, yes. Though the initial release may be PC only, we plan to support Mac.
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Welcome to the part, pal!
Thanks!
We don't currently have plans for a 3rd person mode at this time. We are going for a true first person mode so you can look down and see your body though.
Fixed it! Thanks for the head's up!
It wasn't rude at all. Thanks for asking!
No, we aren't the same guys. I was the designer on a mod called Action Half-Life from the early days of Half-Life modding (our first release was '99) and this game is an evolution of that mod. Double Action has it's roots in Action Half-Life as well as it's based on a mod called the Specialists that that came out 3 years later and was heavily influenced by Action Half-Life as well but took a more Matrix spin on it.
Welcome to the party, pal!
We are looking to release on Steam in fall of 2016 with a standard, one-time payment.
We're shooting for a Winter 2016 release.
Yes, there will be multiplayer along with 4 player co-op.
