My name, as one might guess is Kriss and at the moment I am 17 years old. Quite passionate for all things visual, and if digital - even more! Been using Blender for 2 years now, learning something new every two days. I'm also into poster design (via Inkscape and Photoshop) and a bit of street-art (via posters) as well.. :P Don't be a stranger..
As the title implies, this is a desktop background I made of HAL 9000 from the movie *title too long* just to take my mind of math exam, phew, now I have only 1 left to write (history exam @_@) and also to prove that I'm not dead..
Yeah, gonna write the history exam after tommorow and then I will be able to finally finish the damn animation compilation (just need to fracture a building, soo much pieces! @_@) I have been making for quite some time.. And then I can continue my work on a scene for a cool dude on moddb..
Anyway, I made this scene in 30 minutes I could of made it better, but I was damn sleepy and I had an exam the next day haha, yeah..
I made it for myself, and in fact I am more or less pleased with the result, the desktop background turned out nicely (made it so dark with the intention of keeping icons visible..) Oh, and this was rendered in Cycles (200 passes) so that explains the nice glass material.. Yeah, enjoy..
And yet again, please view original to see the subtle pattern >8D
Also, even though it is very unlikely I will be modifying this image, constructive criticism is more than welcome here :)
Oh, and If someone wants to have it "custom res" don't be afraid and write a comment on my profile page..
my favourite film ever good work! the pattern on the white bit around the red "eye" seems a little tiled and in the movie it is almost gloss but very good :)
Thank you!
Reminds me of VOX also, from my favorite kid show Jimmy Neutron
