No, it still hasn't updated.
No, it still hasn't updated.
When will these updates hit Desura?
Any word on bugfixes?
Rakion mixed skill and stat pretty well. Rakion is a multiplayer death match game mainly involving melee combat, with a system of blocking and dodging. The control system is pretty good, too. On the other hand, you do get XP during fights, and gold, which you can use to buy armour. There's also a game style that ignores level, so only the skill (and armour, weapons, etc) come into it. The armour and weapons also give a somewhat subtle bonus, so the difference between two people with different item-sets isn't too exaggerated.
Possibly, but I'm pretty sure anyone who's interested can find it. A feeling lucky search for "Overgrowth" will send them right where they need to be.
Ones that detract from actually playing the game like spending a minute crouching are quite simply a bad idea. End of story.
See my reply to Doom-Hazmat's comment above.
The problem with that is that you are then creating content that a majority of the users are missing out on. I think achievements should just remain little trophies on the side. Bragging rights, but not necessary for any of the game-play/content.
There's always the stopgap solution of just giving people super drowning skills.
This doesn't make level DESIGN superfluous. It does make IMPLEMENTING the design easier, on the other hand.
Parkour and Free-Running are two different things. One is the art of movement in any terrain (city, forest, desert, mountain, anywhere) while the other is a more urban-specific display version of the same i.e. one is practical, the other is more like an odd style of dance. Both are good.
I believe they covered that when they said they would have to fix the obvious repeating features if it was an actual asset they were going to use in-game.
I can see it, and it's an amazing effect.
Yes, but you haven't played it, and the people promoting it have. What does that suggest to you, if not that you might not actually be able to tell how good a game is by looking at ONE screen?
And would it be bad if they WERE just furries?
The whole "curse" idea isn't really feasible unless it's a REALLY old curse put on all humans everywhere. The reason is simple. ALL characters are anthropomorphic animals and have been for at least a generation.
They do actually mention that the bloom is exaggerated for demonstration. They say it quite clearly, in-fact.
