It was the end of the school year, and the kindergarten class was giving goodbye gifts to their teacher. One little boy came by and handed her a gift. The teacher knew that he was the son of a florist so she asked him, "is it flowers?"
The little boy exclaimed "how did you guess??"
"Oh, just a lucky guess," the teacher replied.
A second little boy came by with a gift. The teacher knew that he was the son of a candy-maker, so she asked him, "are these chocolates?"
The little boy exclaimed "how did you guess??"
"Oh, just a lucky guess," the teacher replied.
Then, a third little boy walke by. The teacher knew he was the son of a liquer store owner, and there were little red drops leaking out from the box. She tasted one and said, "is it wine?"
"No," said the little boy smiling.
"Hmm," she wandered, "is it chamaigne?"
"(giggle) No!"
The teacher, baffled as to what it could be, finally asked, "well, then what is it?"
"It's a puppy!!"
