Can see it's coming along nicely. Never really liked having to manually choose buildings in 4Xs but the rest of the gameplay seems pretty well done. Like the combat and ship design, particularly.

Clean look, calm yet frantic gameplay (as odd as that sounds). The switchable fire modes spice things up nicely too.

The second coming? Not quite, but for X-com fans, damned close. A great remake with some nice added features (VEHICLES!).

To be honest this style of space combat doesn't seriously appeal to me, but it looks good and works well. Streamline the interface a bit and it'd be good to go, even for a casual player like myself.

I've seen some great improvement over just a month or two - it's got the basics quite polished, and I'm looking forward to seeing it with a full assortment of monsters and (hopefully) loot :)
