Is it possible to run somehow game in static lighting mode or only dynamic lighting is available?

Great article, however I think I would include here "Penumbra: Necrologue" as well.

Looks nice, but to be honest - there could be only one true Cry of Fear. This, however looks more like clone of that wonderful title. Really.

First we have Half-Life original game, then we have Half-Life 2 and it's episodes... In the meantime in 2004 Valve released Half-Life: Source. Fans are ****** off because it's original game just ported to Source Engine. They decided to create right, proper remake of HL1 with using Source Engine - Black Mesa. In 2012 we have its first release, then almost 8 years later Xen levels are almost on their way to be finalized. And now fans just say: "ok, maybe let's create demake of Half-Life 2 using old HL1 engine...", ok that I can understand. But why demaking Black Mesa? :) I don't get it....

I'm awaiting too for DC. Even base version was incredible. One of the best games created by single man, and one of the best free independent horror games created (along with "Cry of Fear").

Obecnie ogrywam wersję 1.0. Plusy? Przede wszystkim grafika - to naprawdę chyba najładniejszy mod do Dooma 2, jaki powstał. Co poza tym? Jako survival horror - gra naprawdę straszy. Zacząłem ogrywać trzeci rozdział i jestem pod wrażeniem. Gdyby nie element craftingowy i to, że nasze narzędzia walki mogą się zniszczyć, gra naprawdę byłaby o wiele łatwiejsza. Tak to mamy jeszcze właśnie ten element, który podbija adrenalinę płynącą z rozgrywki. Czy nasz kilof wytrzyma jeszcze jedno uderzenie w stwora? Czy w trakcie uderzenia coś się nam nie rozwali? Niesamowite, jak mechaniki prostego silnika zostały rozbudowane.

Ta modyfikacja to naprawdę arcydzieło. Zarówno pod względem technicznym, jak i wykonania. Finałową opinię dam po tym, jak ją skończę, ale na dzień dzisiejszy ten mod ma naprawdę zajebisty prognostyk w moim zestawieniu.

"Demake of Black Mesa" - seriously?

I think this mod can repeat success of Cry of Fear from 2012 and Penumbra: Necrologue from 2014. It is very similar although to Overture (especially at the beginning). I run it also on my Ubuntu 18.04 (Modern binaries of gzdoom) and it works well, however there are some details, about which I have to complain:

*game itself still is not balanced and AI itself still has to be adjusted
*monsters are slow. I would suggest here, that enemies should be faster than protagonist - game will create higher tension this way.
*some presets regarding video options etc. should be added, so game can be configured easier.

Rest looks good.

Keep fingers crossed for this title and I hope it will land on Steam, when v1.0 will be released.

Great! I'll play this title again, and I hope that v1.1 is well improved :)

I have installed this game and played for a while. First: you should balance the gameplay and add levels of difficulty. Second:main character should have more ammo for pistol.
That's all for now. I will mark this title when I will finish it.

PS. I know, that's indie game, but voice acting would be a nice addon :)

Make a Linux port!

Played this game, and atmosphere was great. I wish, that remake will be kicking *** production!

OK, I figured it out. Now I am at the streets of foggy Silent Hill, again.

You have to turn on godmode. It's the only way.

OK, I am at Otherworld Town Center and I stucked in the room with giant rotor. What should I do?

Well, I am playing this mod and it looks awesome, but "Silent Hill" game without killing monsters or weapon is very weird... Now I am still at the Otherworld hospital and I don't know how not to die during encounter with those creatures jumping from the floor. Any ideas?

This reminds me a control panel from elevator in Brookhaven Hospital in Silent Hill 2.

Świetna gierka, fabularnie nawet podobna do "Silent Hill". Aż szkoda, że pan Remigiusz nie zrobił tego tytułu raczej w konwencji survival horroru. Niemniej jednak polecam.

If you like point'n'click horror games, you HAVE TO play in this title :)
