This thing is broken. It can't find risen2.exe. It gives a popup to enter a path but you can't type text into it, you can't paste text into it and when you press browse it freezes and never brings up a browse directory menu. You have to manually set the path to the exe in mds ini for the patch field.

By examining xray source code you can see many DX10/11 features and shaders, that work in DX9, are incomplete.

Instead of using Stalker-CoC.exe, you can create a shortcut to bin/xrEngine.exe but alter the Start-in path to point to the root directory of Call of Chernobyl (ie. remove /bin from the path)

Ignore what is said. Firstly CoC doesn't use anything from CoP file-wise, it's just a registry check. Second, CoC is already Large Address Aware.

OR the real way, make brand new omf for each weapon, but include them into every hand hud ogf, which is possible with AXRToolset OGF editor. Could be easiest way, if the mod you are taking the weapons from already have hand_hud animations for each weapon.

Das_POm is correct. The *.omf are where the animations reside. OMF are referenced directly by the hands hud ogf, by filename. When creating new animations, the modder probably decided it's easier to shove their new animation into existing omf rather than recreate all hand meshes in Actor Editor to include new references to their omf. This is why you'll see weird things like new weapon animations shoved inside rpg hand omf, in weapon mods.

You are going to have to use Actor Editor as well as a tool to convert omf to skls to find which ones you need. Use AXRToolset: Github.com

In AE, you load hand hud model from raw data, remove existing motions, append the skls and then export as new omf. I can't remember if there is russian tool to repack skls into omf, I only know how to do it in AE.

OGF Editor in AXRToolset, will let you see what omf are referenced.

CoC hand_hud meshes already includes references to the official weapons packs, which may give you the illusion that you only need to copy weapon and weapon_hud ogfs and weapon_hud omfs, but the hand hud omfs are important, you will get crash if they aren't referenced in *all* the hand hud models. It will be easiest for you to just hand pick the missing skls and stuff them into an existing omf, like wpn_hand_knife_hud_animation.omf. So when recreating it in AE, include the wpn knife animations + m82 or whatever then export.

You are wrong. You disabled the sound ambient overhaul, tree sway and only re-enabled Very Foggy, which nobody liked anyway.

Also I think this will just crash the game, this should be removed.

We didn't I have no idea what he is talking about. Only fallout was cut. Very foggy was removed as it was one of the largest complaints about AF3. Also, this seems to reverse the ambient sound overhaul that was done as well as remove the tree sway.

"Generic inventory" This is not a problem with the mod, it's a problem with Stalker and it's lack of meaningful items.

There is lack of unique NPCs for the reason that it can be built upon by others. Already huge mods that use CoC add their own uniques and also the eventual project that bangalore been working on.

That thing from Last Day is unnecessary. Unless you using Windows XP modern OS already uses all cores. As for multithreading X-Ray uses multithreading for lots of things, like Physics, audio, lua scripts, particle effects, etc. Also CoC utilizes multithreading to load textures. The stuttering with xray has more to do with loading tons of stuff from disk every time something comes online.

It was broken inside the engine, it's fixed now and only stumbled on it by accident when examining code for something else. (You can hear it in my smart covers video)

It wasn't any intentional change by GSC, even comparison of engine code for death sounds being played is completely identical for all three versions of the engine, they changed something with sound masks that unintentionally broke it.

Could have always just played the sounds from the lua scripts but I didn't want to use hack and wanted to fix it for real.

CoP levels are largely the same. I can ask bangalore how difficult it would be to merge AN4 spawn and game graph

cop pripyat was changed, so it would be a problem as it means ai map would need merged manually

I had planned on a 'relax' feature but I never got around to it. It would only work for locations that had free jobs, though.

1.5 will see the return of the ability to give items to companions. But it's a bit different. You can only take back what you 'lend' them making it harder to exploit.
