Yesterday I had the pleasure of heading down to that there London to attend GameCamp 6. It’s an excellent event and I’d recommend it to anyone with an interest in games and gaming.
While there were lots of excellent discussions and information to take away, the most exciting thing for me was being able to show Godsweeper to the public for the first time.
I set up Godsweeper in the digital playtesting room, and had about 50 minutes to show the game to people. There was always someone playing, and I even had to turn away people so I could catch my train home in time!
The key pieces of feedback received, were that:
We’ll be addressing these issues as a priority, and are planning to create multiple difficulties with smaller grids and fewer follower levels for starters. This will make the first game for new players less imposing and they will be able to succeed sooner.
