This group is for everyone who like tanks, sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks, you can put here tank mods, tank maps, simply everything with straps, armor and gun :D
Prototype tank built by the Federation of the Americas in CoD: Ghosts but you never actually see a completed one in campaign because the Federation is still using the older (the game takes place in 2027) T-90MS.
There is a completed model in the tank factory multiplayer map but the only way to get a good look at it is with the free cam in spectator mode. I'd take a screenshot but I don't own the PC version of the game. >:/
"According to the map Sovereign, the X08 Selva Tigre was developed sometime before 2014 by the Federation defense contractor "Industrias Soberanas" to serve as the country's main battle tank. It was later scrapped in favor of better-armored T-90MS, that replaced the X08 as Federation's Main Battle Tank."
In other words, we just have to make the latest Russian tank look s*it in front of our twenty years (M1A2) old design.
'Murica! **** YEAH!
I wonder when will someone make a game/movie where the US is the bad guy, that is the single biggest innovation they could make to these types of movies/games.
I guess I'll have to wait until I've learned how to make games so I can make it myself. xD
I actually liked the Federation. The idea of a Latin America super power doesn't get used much in the mainstream media. When they're the antagonists they're always stereotyped as a drug cartel or a corrupt dictatorship.
So them being the premiere world power with a professional military greater in power than China and Russia is pretty cool.
It's too bad that Infinity Ward can't write an original story to save their lives though. Ghosts should've been made by Treyarch, they have better writers. Black Ops 2 is probably my favorite CoD game singleplayer wise. Besides the original ones set in WWII anyways.
Plenty of story is about US being the bad guy, just not so blunt and never directly of course. And they never about Anti-American, just criticism towards the aggressive policy.
Close Combat: Afghanistan, Save my House and some few games tell the tale of US aggressive foreign policy and its affect to the in game story.
if you want blatant Anti-American, Night of Capturing Bush, Glorious Mission are some of the more obvious example of Anti-US sentiment translated to a video game. But they are void of story or meaningful principle, just shoot US soldiers like any other dudes.
I dunno man it looked pretty even in-game. They both seemed to kill each other in a single shot in every stage they were in. Not counting the stage were the player controls the tank obviously but that's more of a concession to gameplay.
What confuses me is that if the T-90MS is better than the X08 then why is the Federation still wasting time and money building it?They've had the T-90 in service since at least 2015 as proven in the flashback mission so why have they kept building an inferior tank for the past 12 years when they could have been building a better alternative?
The Federation is the number 1 military and economic power in the world at the time the game takes place so them not being able to afford it isn't really a valid excuse. XD
