Have you noticed how sci-fi video games have been focusing on the theme of new world exploration? This was trending back in the late 80's / early 90's then somewhat died down. Some might say this is due to the revival of the U.S. space program and the achievements of Elon Musk's SpaceX, rekindling our childhood imagination of visiting alien worlds. Visuals will always remain a secondary sense; Paul Workes Novagen's 1990 hit Damocles still inspires a sense of awe to those that can recall it's 8-bit charm!
