Been working on some MC-80 concepts.

So crazy idea, why not all of them? One thing that was in the lore (at least in the legends material) but never properly reflected in game was that Mon Cal cruisers were unique creations. Each one was built by hand and was different from every other cruiser out there. Now that's probably bit impractical for a video game, but having 4 different hull designs should provide a great deal of variety, more than enough for your average campaign.

On another note, how customizable will the attributes of these ships be? Another way these ships could be truer to the lore would be having weaker shields than an ISD but a faster recharge rate.

Hello bone_naga, great to see you in the forum.

I must agree that I really want to put all in the game, but the vote was which of the concepts to use in the first campaign (in this campaign you will only see one mon calamari cruiser). Later on when I add more campaigns I will add more cruisers. The reason I can not make all 4 cruisers right now is time limitation.

You are right about the shields, the Mon Calamari cruisers had weaker armor and smaller but faster regenerating shields. The Mon Calamari cruisers are also in general faster than Star Destroyers, which means that a cruiser could never win a one-to-one standoff with Star Destroyer, unless employing a hit or run tactic or similar. This is already supported by the game, for each ship I can set the amount of max shields, hull value and shield recharge rate.
