Devlog #1 — Update

Hi everyone and welcome back! Today we are very excited to be able to share with you some progress we were able to make this week, from each one of the team members!

In a sum, we did progress a lot in terms of programming, regarding the art we are currently finishing some thumbnails and starting the sketches and in game design were made some adjustments and new work done for a better understanding of the game, which we will talk a bit more next!

Artwise...

Starting off with art, our artist was finishing off the thumbnails we had in the beginning and was enhancing them so we can show you the final version of them in the next update, and started off some sketches. Not only, he also started working on our game logo and icon, so we can update it here and in our game when it comes out!

Regarding Programming...

When it comes to programming, I would say it was where we ended up having the most to update you on, since our game programmer, did the character's movement, which will have a sort of gravity affected swim, since he is underwater, she also enhanced our main puzzle mechanic, which is a focus and unfocus puzzle - GIF 1 -, it will still have some adjustments and also this is one of the placeholders we have for now. Not only that, but she also started working on the enemy's movement this week! 'Our jellyfish seems to be going out of place...!'

Game Design...

Regarding game design, I made some progress when it comes to the narrative, I started by adjusting it a bit, after that I also re-made the team's calendar so we are on top of each task, not only that I worked on the game systems that we are going to use in our game - Figure 1, Figure 2 - that mostly concern the movement and the puzzle mechanic.

Not only that, but also did the feedback and signs that will be present in our game, although this part can still have some adjustments in the future, so for now, I will give a sneak peak of what can be futurely present in our game! - Figure 3, Figure 4 -.
