As we're sure you all have noticed, we've been rather quiet on the real reason everyone is here: Game progress. Since we've added a substantial number of new followers since our last major update, we thought it was high time we gave you all a little peek behind the curtains. While this in-game screen shot might not look like much compared to some of the other things we've posted, there's actually quite a lot of progress encapsulated in this scene.- Both Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops are in game. Playable.
- All of the trees are new, updated based on new information regarding their relationships to living species
- Water. Splashing. Rippling. Flowing. Water.
-While not visible in this image, we've implemented a rudimentary Day/Night cycle.
-AI development is proceeding nicely, and we're excited to show you just how awesome Rival{Theory}'s RAIN is.
- A fully foliaged map
- Weather
- MusicStay tuned and keep spreading the word, there's a LOT more to come!
Nice to see an update. I would expect to see the region more forested (I have no idea why). I realize this is early in development and you will probably add more to this, but it just looks odd to me being so open :/
Thanks. Literally all we've done at the time of this screenshot is MegaScatter some trees over the blank map so it's more interesting to test the programming stuff in. There is another image in our gallery (title Unity Forest Test) which gives a much greater example of what the final game environment will look like.
It wouldn't let me edit, so I made another comment. A while ago I commented on the thescelosaurus arms. I didn't mean there was anything wrong with them, just that they looked strange having never seem that design before. With this one though, I can't wait to see the area complete.
Is there an official website or forum to this? it would be easier to follow in my opinion.
Not yet unfortunately. It seems that development on an official website/forum is on the back burner right now in favor of game programming. In fact, they've even said as much on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/sauriangame/posts/236459996526441?comment_id=576076&offset=0&total_comments=2).

This game looks awesome. But how many dinosaurs can you play as?
The only playable fauna that the devs have confirmed are T.rex and Triceratops. Tomozaurus has implied that Champsosaurus won't be playable though. (source: Forum.primalcarnage.com)
