Moody lighting helps set the atmosphere. Also, barrels.
Hmm... Would you consider the idea of having the previous owner of the house having a dog, and having the dogs grave in the yard and its ghost haunts you when your out there instead of the owner? There should be a suggestion forum or page or something...
The current owner (the player) had a dog. What happened to that dog...well, you'll have to play to find out! :D
Ever watched Dr Who? If not, research upon one of the monsters called Weeping Angels, scary as ****, and could work well on this, and teleport you to random parts of the house, you will see what I mean when you look at them.
After I had the idea for the mannequins, my brother (who is a HUGE Dr. Who fan) told me they reminded him of weeping angels. I had no idea what they were, but I still think it's an awesome concept.
Oh god... Please, do not use default assets. I know normal guy won't notice it, but when I have to see UnrealEngineIII day-by-day it's annoying to see default assets in game... You know you can't sell the game using UT3 presets in UDK?
Im pretty sure that Matt said he has legal rights to those assets I believe.
