For an explosion done in Unity.. THAT LOOKS AMAZING! :O
i bet everythink look amazing for brony.... guhhhhhh,
looks amazing only because it's a game changing feature (grenades if he wants to add it).
keep in mind that this is a game being made in unity. The guy who is making this game doesn't have access to a AAA game engine that makes everything look super realistic, and how the graphics look shouldn't matter to anyone with gaming literacy
Thing is, the graphics do matter, unfortunately. This game doesn't have any issues since it has been made really well, and i think people still underestimate Unity. If the devs are up to chops, Unity can be pretty darn close to AAA production.
I agree that a Unity game can look pretty nice, but most indie devs don't go for a realistic art style in an fps, but people still enjoy them just as much as one with a realistic art style.
Graphics don't matter? You sound like a narrow minded and very stupid little prick. Just like iPods, smart phones, and movie effects, the evolution of technology indeed matters immensely--in this case, graphics. Did I enjoy Doom and Quake and Wolfenstein when I was a kid? I adored them. Do I consider them equals in quality or fun to recent titles? Hell no. They were primitive as ****, and were only impressive at that point of time. Graphics correlate directly with immersion and realism, in addition to allowing for more features that improve the general quality of the game. Your hypocritical view on up-to-par graphics is as relevant as your envy of the guy with that iPhone 5s when you only have last year's standard. This is coming from someone with 22 years of "gaming literacy" to indulge upon.
Well, that's your opinion, but I believe that simulation and realism is more direct with mechanics, how well the game is built and even sound quality. For example, it's not very realistic to just press r to reload. Instead, there should be a different button to eject the empty mag, another button to insert a new one, and another button to lock and load, sort of like in games like Reciever or Relock. Most indie developers don't have access to "the evolution of technology". Unless they're buliding a C# engine from scratch, they will probably be using Unity, which, unless you have good textures and good models, graphics capability is limited. You can't say that games like Reciever or Warsow are low in quality because their graphics aren't "realistic", that's just the art style they chose, but they are still fun, and no one cares about the graphics in those games. So, for you, quality mostly means good graphics and for me it mostly means mechanics and how stable it is. But we all have our opinions.
Doom with the Brutal mod is still one of the most fun FPS games to play ever, most modern day ****** shooters don't come close to that kind of entertainment sadly.
It's a shame that you appear to be a Payday (2) fan, but couldn't show how professional your community is :\
And to clarify what you said, no, not everything is amazing for bronies.
@RaptorJesusGames, check Interstellar Marines if you haven't! That game looks gorgeous :D
In my opinion, graphics do matter, just not as important as the game's features and mechanics. Which means Medal of Honor: Warfighter is PRETTY much the opposite.
In fact, I prefer playing Battlefield 2 than Battlefield 4 lol
When I got Interstellar Marines I was getting 10 FPS on lowest settings and I was all "WTF?!"
I checked the minimum settings and...
According to it, my computer sucked.
Which it does.
The game uses the Unity3D engine, you really should upgrade your PC.. :\
Yep.
MACS SUCK (for gaming[most of the time])
Oh..you're using that. Well, no wonder lol. It's good for general purpose, looks, and show off though!
AMAZING!!!
pow
Ka-Boom... Nice!
