Hi, everyone. Welcome to another week's developer's diary.

This week's work is mostly around polishing existing content and laying the foundations for future story and feature developments, thus the title.

Here are a few main updates of this week:

1, Guns!
As the "All Fear Comes from the Lack of Firepower" DLC announced last week, I am working on adding more firearms and related features to the game.
Thus, we now get the Israeli Negev as a new type of machine gun.

It may be more cost-efficient than M249. It also comes with a higher ammo capacity.
To make different types of guns have their more unique feature. A new game mechanics has also been added. That's the accuracy of a gun. The accuracy governs how likely the projectile from a firearm will accurately hit where your mouse clicks. A sniper rifle usually can have 100% accuracy while a machine gun usually has far less their bullets may spread from the center of the crosshair widely and wildly. As a result, you may find using machine guns to snipe enemies and secure headshots critical damages become much harder. But, that's compensation for their superior firepower when against a large group of enemies. You may also use various gun modules to make adjustments and find what can suit your needs in battles best.

2, More Cooking Variations.
The cooking system also received a tech-concept upgrade this week. Previously, each combination of ingredients could only make a single type of food mapped to them. However, that makes things less flexible and not very realistic. Thus, a change on system level has taken place to address this. The same sets of ingredients may now be used to cook different types of food if matched recipes exist.
For example:

When you use apples and flour to cook something, you may now choose to get an American Apple Pie or a French Tarte Tatin.
It may not be a big change that will bring you many benefits when you are fighting unspeakable horror to save the world or build your underground supervillain empire. But, I think we shall all enjoy some normal game in an RPG sometimes.

3, The Abandoned Village.
Here comes more content to make those Z-ombies of Putin mad. We now have a loot list on those meat cubes. Not many valuable things are on that list. But, if you are playing a necromancer, those blood, bones, and strange meat may have some use to you.
In addition to those meat cubes, the village now has some orc soldiers as mentioned previously.

They also have a loot list. You can even get some AK-47s from them.
However, those AK-47s are ill-maintained. Thus, they have terrible performances during battles.
Technically, that's achieved by adding a highly customizable prefix on normal AK-47s. The prefix itself can have a parameter list to decide how to modify an item. Thus, it's possible to make more unique items in the future. Both better ones and worse ones.

4, Another Dark Elf

He will appear in the Sealed Palace soon. But, let's keep his identity a secret for now.
Meanwhile, you can use his appearance on your main character or customized teammates if you like.

That shall cover most parts of this week's update. There are still more small changes that can be found on the full update log. Next week, we will have one more developer's diary before the release of the new DLC. It's likely I will add more guns and actually start to work on the content of the DLC and hook everything up. :)
